Boudoir photography can sometimes feel impersonal, especially when shot in a generic hotel room. That’s why I carefully select beautiful, intimate studios for our sessions, creating a comfortable space where you can truly feel at ease. My aim is to help you express your authentic self, revealing both your inner and outer beauty.
With nearly two decades of ballet experience, I have spent countless hours refining the art of creating aesthetically pleasing lines. This background has given me a keen eye for composition, allowing me to guide every client in a way that highlights their best features. I will lead you through each step, from pose to pose, ensuring you never feel awkward or unsure—though if you’re up for a challenge, we may try some advanced poses that will stretch you physically!
I often hear women say, “I’ll book a session once I’ve lost a little weight.” My response? There’s no need to wait. Your body is perfect just as it is. Whether you have stretch marks, scars, or other features you view as imperfections, these are part of your unique story. I hope to help you see them as beautiful, distinctive details that make you who you are.
“When I decided to do a boudoir shoot, I was filled with anxiety. I knew I’d be close to naked and my body image issues and insecurities crept in as the session grew closer. Day of, Valentina greets me with the biggest smile and warmest hug, all my anxiety melts away. Before I knew it I was dancing, enjoying my body, absolutely feeling myself. Val showed me how to do all the poses, did nothing but hype me up, and was so generous with her time and energy. AND THE PICTURES!!! Holy moley, I cried. I’d never seen myself in such a light, I was sexy, I was sensual, I was cute, I was beautiful, I was a WOMAN. I’ll never be able to repay her for the confidence she gave me.”
After spending years photographing weddings and couples, I began exploring boudoir photography. It all started with self-portraits, and the empowering experience I felt inspired me to help others experience the same. Having grown up immersed in ballet, I understand firsthand the critical lens many of us apply to our bodies, often leading to damaging self-perceptions. I know this is a struggle many share. As a mother of two little humans, I’m particularly attuned to the changes a woman’s body undergoes and the profound impact these changes can have on self-confidence. While the majority of my clients are women, I welcome and work with all genders.
I'm based in DC but you can find me often in NYC as well.
